John Lehman is an academic specialist in Chinese language and Chinese Buddhism. He has studied and practiced Buddhism since 1971. He has taught courses in classical Chinese philosophy and Buddhism at the University of Alaska as well as serving on international committees that developed internet standards for modern and classical Chinese, including standards for classical Chinese language Buddhist texts.
