The Santa Fe Vipassana Sangha is a community of Buddhist practitioners seeking liberation through Insight Meditation and integration of the Buddha’s teachings into daily life. The sangha is a non-profit organization that is guided by a board of directors and several volunteer committees.
This community of spiritual friends is open to all people seeking seeking liberation through Insight Meditation and integration of the Buddha’s teachings into daily life, regardless of color, race, gender, age, or sexual orientation and gender identity. We are committed to generosity and compassionate action, and dedicated to supporting each other’s practice.
Please see the calendar for our practice schedule, our schedule is still somewhat uprooted by pandemic policies. We also maintain a library of Buddhist-related books; for information please contact the SFVS Librarian.
Opportunities for service within the sangha are available for anyone who wishes to contribute to the larger community. This includes the Santa Fe Vipassana Caring Committee, which offers assistance to those in our community who, due to illness, family issues or other circumstances, need help with things such as rides to medical appointments, some meals, etc.
We have two sangha meetings each year and monthly meetings of the board of directors. Please see the calendar or weekly e-newsletter. All are welcome to attend. These meetings are an opportunity for all interested practitioners to participate, put forth new ideas, discuss issues and get to know other sangha members.
