Albuquerque Insight Meditation Center
Weeklong Residential Retreat
Brian Lesage and Diana Clark
March 1 – 8, 2024
Insight meditation is a simple and direct practice based on moment-to-moment awareness, a technique that opens the heart and clears the mind. This will be an opportunity to practice continuous mindfulness in silence throughout the day—in sitting and walking meditation. In the silence we are freed from much of the daily barrage of stimulus that draws our attention outward, letting us delve deeply inward. Learning to be aware of our experience from a place of stillness and equanimity allows us to see more clearly, and as insight deepens, compassion and wisdom can arise.
The retreat is designed for beginners and experienced practitioners alike and will include meditation instruction, Dharma talks, and practice discussions with the teachers.

WHEN: March 1 – 8, 2024
FEE: Sliding scale $795, $895, $995*

There will also be an option for local people to commute to the retreat. It will require a commitment to attend each morning for the first talk after breakfast and to stay until after the evening talk. About Diana…
Being inspired by the Buddha’s teachings on peace and freedom and supported by her own discoveries along the Buddhist path of practice, Diana Clark, PhD, teaches with an emphasis on both the beautiful and the practical. She has trained exclusively in the Theravada tradition, including cumulative years of silent meditation retreats. In addition, she studies and teaches about the earliest Buddhist teachings found in the Pali Canon. Diana also has a PhD in biochemistry. Just as studying biochemistry helped her understand the workings of the human body, practicing Buddhism has helped her understand the workings of the human mind and heart.
